Larges boucles d’oreille printanières / Large Spring earrings

Pour former une parure avec mon bracelet Tabatha, j’ai décidé de frivoler le modèle E de Lilas Lace (tiré de son premier livre en vente ici : « Ma petite leçon de frivolité aux navettes »). Avec ces couleurs printanières, j’espère que le beau temps et la chaleur vont finalement s’installer.

Ces boucles d’oreilles ont été réalisées en fil Lizbeth de taille 20, colori « Wildflower Garden » (#154), et perles de rocaille transparentes Toho de taille 15/0. Même si je tends à frivoler serré, je trouve qu’elles  nécessitent d’être amidonnées (amidon en spray) pour mieux maintenir leur forme car elles sont larges, comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo suivante où elles reposent sur ma main.
Ces boucles constituent mon huitième motif pour mon troisième ‘25 motif challenge‘. Voir toutes mes réalisations pour ce nouveau challenge ici.

To create a jewellery set to go with my Tabatha bracelet, I decided to tat the pattern E by Lilas Lace (this pattern is from her first book, which is for sale here: « My humble lesson in shuttle tatting »). I am hoping that those spring colors will bring in the nice and warm weather for good. 

Those earrings were made using size 20 Lizbeth thread, in the « Wildflower Garden » colorway (#154), with Toho 15/0 transparent seed beads. Although I tend to tat tightly, I found that those earrings needs to be starched to keep their shape better, because they are quite large (see the second picture of them on my hand for size comparison).
